The CCHA will be offering a youth scholarship program starting 2015. A portion of each youth entry throughout the year will go towards the scholarship. The amount will be announced at the last show.
For consideration for the scholarship, the following guidelines must be met:
*Applicants must have at least one family member (per NRCHA family member list for non pro ownership rules) that has been an active member of CCHA for the past three years.
*Applicant must be actively involved in some aspect of CCHA. Showing not required.
*Applicant must be ranked in the top 50% of their school class and achieve a minimum test score of 20 on the ACT and a minimum of 950 on the SAT.
*Applicant must maintain a G.P.A. of 2.75 or better.
*Applicant must show a log of at least 10 hours of community service. This could include any volunteer work.
*Applicant must submit at least 3 letters of recommendation.
The board of directors for CCHA will review all applications and be ultimately responsible for choosing the winner of the CCHA scholarship each year.
