2018 CCHA & NRCHA Show Seasons Near Completion

CCHA Members Find Success in Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity Horse Show

Heading the list was Lance Johnston winning the open bridle on Very Smart Choice for owner Rocking BS Ranch, followed by Billy Martin in 5th on his MH Im Just Booning and Ken Wold in 8th on Brother Jackson for owner Dan Perez. Continuing the trend was Andrew Steiger winning the limited open bridle on Little Oop for owner TLC Quarter Horses, followed by Mallory Holland on Circles Cry Baby for owner Shelly Mitchell, Travis Mankins doubling up in 6th on License to Pack Heat for owner Dawn Champion and in 9th on Wright N Stylish for owner Karyn Stevens

CCHA Members Dominate in the First Reno Wild Filly Futurity

In the first Reno wild filly futurity Lance Johnston was 1st on JPH Stang Gang’s Three Fingers Holly, Rebecca Sternadel was 2nd on Cynthia Bias’s Three Fingers Blond, Tyler Johnson-Clark was 3rd on Carmen Johnson’s South Steens Shy Charlotte and Wyatt Fisher was 12th on Jayson and Teresa Fisher’s Three Fingers Teresa. Non pro limited futurity results to be posted next, followed by horse show classes. Please let us know if we miss your horse so we can correct the omission as soon as possible.

2018 Horse Show #8 Standings Posted

The year-end awards points standings after horse show #8 have been posted under “Standings“. Points are calculated according to rule 9. CCHA class points: “One point for winning class plus one point for each horse defeated. No points are awarded if the total score is zero, but the show counts toward meeting minimum requirement of competing in one-half of the shows to qualify for year-end awards.” For example: 3 horses shown and all earning non zero scores, first place 3 points, second place 1 point, third place 0 points; 5 horses shown and 3 earning non zero scores, first place

2019-2020 CCHA Board of Directors Election Results Announced

The results of the elections for the 2019-2020 term of the CCHA board of directors are now final. Kristy Johnson has been elected to a third consecutive term. Tim Johnson and Murray Thompson have been elected to a second consecutive term. Former director Cynthia Bias has been elected to an additional term. Although candidate Stacy Duesterhaus narrowly missed being elected to a first term she has generously agreed to serve the association as the key member of the communications committee.

2018 Membership List Updated & Membership Milestone Achieved

The 2018 membership list as of September 1, 2018 has been posted under “Membership List“. We are proud to have surpassed the 200 membership milestone as of our 2018 horse show #8 with 210 memberships. This is an increase of 43 memberships or 26 % over our 2017 membership total of 167. Thank you to our owners and exhibitors for your continuing support of our association.
