The California Cow Horse Association 2018 board elections are just around the corner. Serving on the board is a great opportunity to become more involved in and contribute to your association. There are openings for five new board members for the 2018-2019 term of office. Board members must be current members in good standing of the CCHA and the NRCHA. Please let us know if you are interested in adding your name to the ballot. If you are, please submit a short paragraph describing what you would like people to know about you. For example, you may want to let us know about your family, your profession, your hobbies and which of your attributes you believe would be beneficial to the association as a board member. Your statement will be included on the ballot to inform members as they vote. Please get involved and help us continue to make our association serve our members better! Remember, the world is run by those who show up and invest themselves.
The club functions the best when we have a diversity of beginning and experienced non-pro and open owners and riders on the board.
The board meets on an as needed basis, usually monthly, for most of the year. Each member sits on a committee and is a valuable contributor of ideas and of decision making to help our events run as smoothly and effectively as possible. New board members take office at the first meeting of the new show year which begins on November 16.
Candidate names and statements must be received by October 1, 2017 to be on the ballot. Voting will take place at the year-end Fall Spectacular, Derby and Horse Shows #8 and #9 at the International Agri-Center in Tulare, CA on November 3-5, 2017.
